Monday, March 25, 2024---USC Women of Troy Defeat Kansas

Trojan Candy attended the first two rounds of the Women's NCAA Basketball tournament at Galen Center where USC hosted Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Kansas. Below are exciting videos of our Women of Troy victory over Kansas in the second round. Enjoy them.

The starters for both teams were introduced. Starting for USC were Kaitlyn Davis, McKenzie Forbes, Rayah Marshall, JuJu Watkins, and Kayla Padilla.

JuJu Watkins made a three point shot for USC’s first basket.

This video showed the highlights of the first half.

Juju stole the ball in the third quarter.

JuJu shot foul shots in the third quarter.

The Women of Troy played good defense and offense.

JuJu shot two more free throws.

McKenzie Forbes drove in to the basket and was fouled.

McKenzie made both free throws.

Late in the fourth quarter, USC Graduate Student India Otto entered the game to much applause.

After the game, JuJu congratulated teammate McKenzie, fans in the stands, and her family.

After finishing television interviews, JuJu signed more autographs for fans as she walked into the tunnel.

Saturday, March 23, 2024---Beach Volleyball Alumnae Matches

My husband Jim and I were invited to the annual Beach Volleyball Alumnae Matches. Before the matches started, Trojan Candy took pictures of some of our friends.

There were Wandy Jung and Sue Cimbaluk.

Next, Sue Cimbaluk posed with current World Beach Volleyball co-champion Kelly (Claes) Cheng (3/2/2017).

Then, I took this picture of friend Jerry Ensom, Coach Dain Blanton, and my husband Jim Yee.

Next, Trojan Candy started taking pictures of the Beach Volleyball team. There were Gabby Walker, Megan Kraft (2/26/2022), and Delaynie Maple (2/26/2022).

Eleven teammates were in my next picture. They were Grace Seits, Ashley Pater, Delaynie Maple, Zoey Mitchell, Megan Kraft, Maddy White, Kaylee Young, Mabyn Thomas, Delaney Karl, Gabby Walker, and Bailey Showalter.

The Spirit of Troy entertained us.

Molly Phillips and Bailey Showalter smiled for Trojan Candy.

Then, Gabby Walker, Kaylee Young, and Madison Goellner posed for this picture.

Mabyn Thomas and Delaney Karl were next.

Zoey Mitchell, Kaylee Young, Megan Kraft, and Grace ? were together.

Maddy White, Emily Fitzner, Audrey Nourse (2/21/2021), and Harper Hallgren smiled for Trojan Candy.

Two very famous USC Alumnae, who are going to represent the USA in Paris in July, were using the camera as USC Beach Volleyball Associate Head Coach Gustavo Rocha watched.

Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes (1/31/2014) took a photo shoot as Kelly’s husband Jordan Cheng and Coach Rocha watched.

One more picture of Kelly and Sara. Here they were with former teammate Terese Cannon.

My next picture included a famous USC and Olympian champion April Ross (1/12/2013), her baby Riley, Kelly, Terese, and Sara.

Trojan Candy took another picture of the five of them as they posed for a photo shoot.

Coach Blanton’s wife Maeve McCaffrey and their son Caid Quentin smiled for me.

The USC Beach Volleyball alumnae were introduced by Leland Waters.

Then, Coach Blanton had the USC Beach Volleyball team and Alumnae pose for my picture.
