Friday, November 11, 2016---Double Header Victories!!

The Women of Troy Basketball Team and the USC Men's Basketball Team opened their seasons with a double header tonight.

Our women, who played the University of Hawaii, were introduced on the big screen.

Our Women of Troy celebrated their 76-44 victory over the Rainbows.

In the second game of the double header, our men, who played Montana, were introduced in this big screen video.

Junior Elijah Stewart (3/30/2015) scored a three-point basket on our first possession.

Our men beat Montana 75-61.

November 5, 2016---My Homecoming Friends

Trojan Candy arrived at the TGLA Homecoming booth at 11:00 am. My fellow TGLA members had already started selling our merchandise.

After I finished volunteering, my sister Patti, my husband Jim and I walked around near Tommy Trojan.

We met Phillip Ribeiro who is from Northern California. He visited us at Heritage Hall whenever he came to USC.

Next, a very familiar face came to say hello at our table. She was a weekly visitor when we were volunteering at the Heritage Hall desk. Academic Counselor Susie Cognetta is working on her Ph.D in Educational Psychology at Rossier.

Susie introduced me to a fellow Ph.D student who also is an Academic Counselor in Heritage Hall. Howard Croom smiled for me.

After the tailgate, we walked through a very crowded campus to the Coliseum. Yes, there was a game to be played against the Oregon Ducks.

Friday, November 4, 2016---Welcome Home, Cheryl Miller

Trojan Candy looked forward to the Women of Troy Basketball Exhibition game versus Cal State L.A. The coach of the Golden Eagles is USC Women of Troy Basketball Alumna Cheryl Miller.

Before the game started, USC Women of Troy Basketball Coach Cynthia Cooper gave her friend and colleague Cheryl Miller a nice USC gift bag. The two friends hugged one another on the court.

She and her teammates won two NCAA Championships in 1983 and 1984. Welcome Home, Cheryl and FIGHT ON!

It was game time now. Our 2016-2017 Women of Troy Basketball Team was introduced in this video.

At the beginning of halftime, Trojan Candy was able to take this picture of USC Women of Troy Basketball Alumnae and friends. USC Athletic Director Lynn Swann and Women of Troy Senior Associate Athletic Director Donna Heinel joined the ladies and their friends.

Friday, November 4, 2016---USC Football Rally

Trojan Candy was on campus all day. I attended a conference in the USC School of Gerontology and then a Heritage Hall reception. Now, I am at the Heritage Hall Homecoming Football Rally. We play Oregon tomorrow.

The Spirit of Troy was ready. The Song Girls were ready. The Spirit Leaders were ready and...Trojan Candy was ready with her camera.

Quarterback Sam Darnold was walking out of the practice field gate. He smiled for this picture. All I can say is....Sam is big and solid! FIGHT ON, Sam!
