Thursday, March 23, 2017---TGLA visits the Museum of Tolerance

Trojan Candy was the first TGLA member to arrive at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles. Traffic was better than I had imagined it would be.

Special Event Vice President Rosalee Perchersky was the next TGLA member to arrive.

After the other Special Event Vice President Alnita Dunn arrived, Trojan Candy was able to take two group pictures.

I am posting two pictures because some eyes were closed in each.

We were given an abbreviated tour since lunch was scheduled for noon. Pictures inside the museum were prohibited, but Trojan Candy was able to take one picture.

For lunch some TGLA members drove to Factor's Famous Deli while others walked there.

Hors'doevres were served first. They were delicious. Then, our chicken lunch was served. There was so much food!

During lunch, Trojan Candy walked around and took pictures.

Saturday, March 11, 2017---USC Day of SCervice

Trojan Candy attended the USC Day of SCervice in the Town and Gown.

The first people I saw were TGLA members who checked in the participants.

I walked into the Town and Gown dining room looking for more TGLA members who came to volunteer and make necklaces for patients at the USC Norris Cancer Hospital. I found Carol Fox, Janet Eddy, D'Arcy McLeod and Chris Fox at one table.

In the lobby, Sandy Johnston greeted Judith Harris.

Still working at one end of the check-in table were Jerry Ensom and Christine Ofiesh.

At the other end of the table were Jolene Irwin and Mary Hall.

There was a surprise announcement on the Town and Gown steps. Town and Gown member Janeane Dimpel had everyone sing "Happy Birthday" to a Town and Gown Scholar Simone Geller.

My last picture at the Day of SCervice was of three TGLA volunteers working till the end. Sandi Hampar, Janet Eddy and Carol Thueson still had beads to dispense.

What a worthwhile, productive afternoon!
