Saturday, November 2, 2019---USC Men's Water Polo Senior Day and Match vs Stanford
Trojan Candy arrived at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center about 45 minutes early just in time to get my favorite seat on the south side of the water polo pool. I saved three seats for my sister Patti Poon, my brother-in-law Dudley Poon and myself. Then I quickly walked downstairs to the pool. SID Darcy Couch let me take pictures of the Senior Day Celebration.
The first pictures I took were of the five posters of the Seniors.
The posters were of #12 Troy Furniss.
#7 Luka Karaman.
#6 Marin Dasic.
#10 Matt Maier.
Then the Senior Dads---Branimir Dasic, Bruce Furniss, Brian Slobodien, Tony Karaman, and Kurt Maier.
I was just starting to take a picture of each Senior family when the ceremony started abruptly. I did take this picture of the Furniss family.
Then I rushed over to take their picture with Troy at his poster.
Senior #7 Luka Karaman was introduced second.
This video shows the USC player introductions and hand slaps of the two teams.
The match started with USC's #9 Jacob Mercep winning the sprint. Then, at 7:28 Senior #6 Marin Dasic scored on a 6 on 5 to put USC ahead 1-0.
Trojan Candy was able to take a picture or video of some of the USC goals throughout the match. I just have to be lucky.
