After the ribbon cutting and tour of the newly remodeled USC Track and Field facilities, Trojan Candy walked to the Cromwell Field and Loker Track Stadium to volunteer for the USC-UCLA Track and Field Meet. My husband Jim and sister Patti Poon also volunteered. We collected the athlete's track wear in baskets and moved the baskets to a pick-up area.
As Trojan Candy volunteered, I also was able to take some pictures. Here are some pictures that I took:
Our friendly USC guard.
Volunteer crew members.
Song girls
TeeTee Terry, Lanae-Tava Thomas and Angie Annelus of the Women's 4x100m relay winning team.
Lauren Maurer ran the 1500m race.
Dior Hall in lane 2, Chanel Brissett in lane 4, Mecca McGlaston in lane 6 and Anna Cockrell in lane 8 were ready for the Women's 100m hurdles.
For the Women's 100m dash Margaux Jones (1), Dior Hall (2), TeeTee Terry (4), Angie Annelus (6) and Chanel Brissett (7) were lined up.
The women were set for the 100m dash. USC would sweep this event.
Daniel Robinson (1), Alexander Barnum (5) and Brendon Stewart (7) were lined up for the Men's 100m dash.
At this time, I had to leave the track meet to attend the final Spirit of Troy spring concert with Dr. Arthur C. Bartner.
My good friend and fellow photographer Ray Wong also attended the USC-UCLA track and field meet. He sent me his pictures. Trojan Candy chose some of Ray's pictures to display:
Coach Caryl Smith Gilbert.
Trojan Candy and Jim Yee.
Our Women of Troy beat the Lady Bruins 90-69.
The Women of Troy enjoyed their victory lap.
FIGHT ON, Men's and Women's Track and Field!
Thank you, Ray!
