Trojan Candy arrived early at the Galen Center for the USC Basketball Tip Off. When the lobby doors opened, my husband Jim and I immediately got in line for free t-shirts. We got the air-sprayed shirts for our grandsons.
As Trojan Candy walked around the lobby, I saw a very familiar face. USC basketball alumnus David Blu (11/2/2012) smiled and said, "Hello." I asked him if he brought his son and daughter with him today. He said that they went to a school Halloween carnival with their mother. We talked briefly about his children. David said that his daughter plays volleyball and his son plays soccer. Luckily, USC has women's volleyball, but not men's soccer. Maybe, David's son Baron will switch to...basketball!
In the nearby hallway, I thanked Head Coach Andy Enfield for inviting us to his team scrimmage and reception last Wednesday. Check out my previous blog article dated Wednesday, 10/19/2016 to meet the team!
I walked into the arena looking for the Women of Troy Basketball Team. They were in the southeast arena entrance waiting to be introduced. I was able to take this picture of some of the team. Ivana Jakubcova, Ja'Tavia Tapley, team trainer, Dani Milisic (3/25/2016), Sadie Edwards (3/25/2016), Minyon Moore, Marguerite Effa, and Aliyah Mazyck (10/11/2015).
Finally, both teams walked upstairs by the glass windows to sign autographs. Trojan Candy was there! The Women of Troy came first.
FIGHT ON, Women of Troy Basketball!
FIGHT ON, USC Men's Basketball!
