Now, Trojan Candy and Jim walked downstairs to the Ronald Tutor Campus Center Ballroom where the Football Awards banquet was being held.
The first friend whom I saw was
Cody Kessler (9/8/2011) and his parents, Christy and Don.
Dinner was now being served. Some trophies were awarded before dinner.
Robby Kolanz posed with his Howard Jones/Football Alumni Club Academic Award trophy. He maintained a 3.5 GPA. Congratulations, Robby!
John Plattenburg smiled with his Community Service Award trophy. Congratulations, John!
Trojan Candy really didn't eat dinner, because Jim and I had attended a reception earlier and had just eaten at 2:00 p.m. That gave me more time to roam around the room and take pictures. I saw Spirit of Troy friends nearby.
Seated are Jerry Ensom and Gaston Escamila. Sandy and Rex Johnston are standing.
Then, I thought I had better take a picture of the guests at our table. Back row: Jim Yee, Jennifer Probert, Kwinci Griffith, Genaro and Lai Tan Carapia. Front row: Nicole Probert, Linda Babcock, Judy Hunter and Kara Griffith. Yes, we sat with two sets of sisters!
I took this picture of Coach Kenechi Udeze and Friend
Antwaun Woods (1/26/2012).
Cody Kessler with his dad Don, mother Christy, Dylan Kessler and Coach Clay Helton
Mike McKeever M.V.P. Adoree' Jackson posed for Trojan Candy. Congratulations, Adoree'!
As Jim and I were leaving, I took this picture of the people at friend Ray Wong's table. Howard and Ray Wong, Charlie Garcia, Suzanne McDonald, Rose Miller and John DeLuna
Trojan Candy said, "Good night" to Senior Friend Antwaun Woods with all his awards. What a night, Antwaun, and good luck in the NFL!
In the lobby, I said, "Good night" to George Katrib, Conner Sullivan, Ryan Dillard and
JuJu Smith-Schuster (5/26/2015). JuJu is holding his Offensive Perimeter Player of the Year statue. Congratulations, JuJu!
Finally upstairs, Jim and I said, "Good night" to friend Kevon Seymour, Kirkland Schuessler, and new friend Khaliel Rodgers.
Trojan Candy couldn't help herself. I had to interview Khaliel. Luckily, he oblidged. Khaliel will be a Junior next season. He is majoring in Sociology and plays Center on the team. He told me that he is the first USC football player from Delaware. He chose USC because of our Tradition. Khaliel started playing football when he was six years old. His hobby is to go to movies. His favorite movie is "Goodfellows." Khaliel likes all types of music. His favorite food is shrimp Alfredo. Mmmm! Thank you for choosing USC and FIGHT ON, Khaliel!
We three were the last ones out of the Ronald Tutor Campus Center. With that, I say, "Good Night!"
